Bezalel 2021: Rehearsal & Dress Rehearsal / Volunteer Position Descriptions -
(Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)

Bathroom/ Hall Monitor-

This position is responsible for monitoring all 3-bathroom areas hourly for toilet paper/ paper towel needs, trash pick-up and minor clean-up (such as drying the counter tops and sweeping). This position is also required to sit/ walk/ monitor the foyer area of the church and listen for children who should not be wandering the hallways. (No children other than your own, who are not in the performance should be in the foyer or hallways with you unless they are going to the bathroom. If your own children are with you, we just ask that you keep them by your side and do not let them explore.) Make sure to stay until everyone has left the building to make sure the restrooms are picked up, toilets are flushed, floors are swept and trash emptied.

Lunchroom Monitors-

This position is responsible for monitoring the locked door coming into the lunch area allowing Bezalel families to come in and out. This position is also responsible for the supervision of children in the lunch area on break. At the end of the day you are responsible for wiping down tables, sweeping up any food or trash on the floor, and for gathering up any lost and found items. Any items you find left at the end of your shift can be placed in a lost and found bin outside the lunch room door in the sanctuary. Make sure to stay until everyone has left the building to make sure there is no trash left.

Sanctuary Monitors A & B-

These positions are responsible for the supervision of students that will be assigned to your area during rehearsals. Students will be divided into two groups and both Sanctuary Monitors are responsible for their respective groups. Students are to remain in your area unless they are excused to go to the bathroom, excused for a short break in the lunch room, or needed on stage for their part. All talking is to be kept to a whisper. Students may bring tablets, homework, games, etc...., anything to occupy them quietly while waiting for their turn on stage. No food is allowed in the sanctuary, only the lunch room. We do not expect you to know where every child is at every moment because they will be going on and off stage, but please be vigilant in keeping them as quiet as possible and from wandering around the church. Your job is important because it helps keep the rehearsal on schedule. Please pick up any trash, vacuum if needed, gather misplaced garments and return them to the dance teachers, and turn in any lost and found items to the lost and found bin near the lunch room door in the sanctuary. Make sure to stay until everyone has left the building to make sure there is no trash left.
